When you think of Denver Horror Collective, what comes to mind?
For most, it’s a genuinely inclusive space for dark fiction writers of all backgrounds to inspire, improve, and support one another’s work. For others, it’s our popular and award-winning anthologies, TERROR AT 5280’, CONSUMED, and THE JEWISH BOOK OF HORROR. Some think of our effective and affordable Horror Author Marketing, while a few know us from our “Read Indie Horror” shirts.
But now we’re proud to announce a new project that will blow the rest out of the water: Denver Horror Collective Babysitting!

April is National Poetry Month, and The Thing in the Labyrinth horror book club is celebrating by reading Linda Addison’s collection of horror prose and poetry, How to Recognize a Demon has Become Your Friend. You can purchase a copy of the book here.
The club will hold a discussion on Sunday, April 23, at 7:30 pm Pacific / 8:30 pm Mountain. This free, online event will take place via Zoom with a run time of 90 minutes. To sign up, please email the moderator, A.E. Santana. A Zoom link will be sent to participants closer to the event date. To keep up to date with The Thing in the Labyrinth book club, sign up for the newsletter here.
Please note that in April, club sessions will be recorded and made available to The Thing in the Labyrinth and DHC members through private channels.
DHC member Josh Schlossberg will have his short story “Sorry to Hear That” included in D&T Publishing’s DARK TOWN, an anthology to benefit the families of the victims of the Uvalde school shooting. His story first passed through DHC’s Virtual Short Fiction Critique.
Keep it up, Josh!
