Erica Hoffmeister was born and raised in the fragrant orange groves of inland Southern California, but now lives in Denver where she teaches writing and rhetoric.

She has an MFA in Creative Writing – Poetry, but writes across genres and has several works published, as well as two YA horror novels in-progress. As an independent scholar, her research focuses on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Gothic Literature.
