Keep Indie Horror Publishing Alive!

On the heels of three popular and award-winning anthologies, Denver Horror Collective is crouched in the shadows ready to pounce on the indie publishing world yet again.

Yes, it’s true. DHC will soon be publishing novels, novellas, and short fiction collections from members whose work simply must be unleashed upon the world.

Our first foray this fall will be NOT BURIED DEEP ENOUGH, a short fiction collection from Gary L. Robbe. Since the 1980s, Gary’s striking and unnerving tales—ranging from folk horror, to supernatural, to weird western stories—have been published everywhere from The Horror Zine to Sanitarium Magazine to the NoSleep Podcast and more. Yet, incredibly, over these four decades, his work hasn’t been compiled in one place. This changes now.

What We Need & What You Get
If you’re passionate about unique, quality voices of darkness rising up from the “indie horror underground,” please consider making a gift to support DHC’s newest publishing venture to fund: printing and distribution, cover art, editing, layout, and marketing/promotion, with nearly everything done in house by DHC members.

In return for your generosity, you’ll have a choice of signed paperbacks from DHC authors Elana Gomel, Tom Mavroudis, Michael Picco, Rebecca Rowland, Josh Schlossberg, Angela Sylvaine, and Marissa Yarrow; e-books of all three of our DHC anthologies: TERROR AT 5280’, CONSUMED, AND THE JEWISH BOOK OF HORROR; our famous “READ INDIE HORROR” T-shirts; DHC mugs; and a gift certificate from Horrid Spirits in Denver.

The Impact
Why is DHC’s indie publishing so important? Because it’s about authors helping other authors, free from passing trends, popularity contests, or the whims of the market. All authors must be selected by another member, someone who believes in the work so much they’ll spearhead the entire publishing process. And, of course, all proceeds will be split 50/50 down the middle between the author and DHC.

And, if you, yourself, want your fiction to be considered for future DHC publication (2024 and 2025 slots open now) join today as a member at DenverHorror.com!
